TAN

A TAN (Tax Deduction and Collection Account Number) is a unique identifier required for individuals or entities in India to deduct or collect tax at source. It is issued by the Income Tax Department of India.

Documents Required

Proof of identity (e.g., PAN card, passport, etc.)

Address proof of the business or entity (e.g., utility bill, business registration certificate, etc.)

Once your application is processed, you will receive your TAN by mail, and it will be available online for download.

To register for a TAN, follow these steps:

Online Registration via NSDL

Visit the NSDL website: https://tin.tin.nsdl.com/

On the homepage, look for the option for "Apply for TAN".

Select the option "New TAN" and read the instructions.

Fill out the application form with accurate details about your business or entity.

Submit the form and make the payment for processing.
